An Evening with Bëbel
30th November 2025
Last night, members and friends of The Magic Circle Scotland were treated to an extraordinary and intimate evening with the legendary French close-up magician, Bébel (Belkhéir Djénane).
The event, held in a cozy setting, provided a rare opportunity to witness an "underground legend" at the peak of his powers.

From the moment Bébel began, the atmosphere was electric and incredibly friendly. The small group size was a particular highlight, making the entire experience feel less like a performance and more like a private, one-on-one session with a master. This intimate environment allowed everyone to fully appreciate his flawless technique and engaging personality.

Bébel showcased an array of magic that consistently defied explanation. Each demonstration was more impossible than the last. He worked primarily with a deck of cards, yet produced miracles right before our eyes. His sleight-of-hand was invisible, his misdirection masterful, and his results breathtaking.

The reactions from the audience were unanimous: jaws dropped in awe and amazement with every flash change and seamless routine. His poetic and visual style of magic is a true testament to decades of dedication and passion for the art form.
For those fortunate enough to attend, it was an evening that will long be remembered. Bébel is not just a magician; he is a genuine artist who understands the power of pure, ungimmicked magic. The Magic Circle Scotland hosted a truly exceptional event.

This year at the balloon festival, we had a fantastic time! Every year, we set up our stall with one intention: not to make a profit or even break even, but to have fun and to make others smile. We aim to help people suspend their disbelief for just a moment and share in the wonders of magic. I believe we excelled at this more than ever this year, with our wonderful balloon modelling and the mesmerizing array of magical talent entertaining the crowds. We are sure our customers had even more fun than we did, and we had a blast! Come and see us next year as we create magical wonder and awe at Strathaven once again.
An Evening with Quentin Reynolds
15th June 2025

We at Magic Circle Scotland were delighted to welcome the talented Quentin Reynolds for an unforgettable experience as he entertained us and shared his incredible skills in what was a truly special event.
Quentin's magic is both clever and understated, but there's so much more to his show. We were treated to engaging storytelling, thought-provoking reflections, and plenty of laughter along the way!
A few years back, Quentin made the move from Dublin to Manchester. He’s skilled in a variety of magical arts, including children's magic, cabaret, mentalism, and close-up magic. Whether he’s at a private party, a corporate gathering, or performing on stages from Las Vegas to Fallowfield, he brings joy and wonder wherever he goes.

With over twenty-five years of experience as a professional magician, Quentin started his journey while still in school! Although he initially planned to become a schoolteacher, he realised he was earning more doing magic in his spare time than he would as a teacher.
Quentin’s love for magic began at just six years old when he saw the incredible Albert LeBas, the top Irish magician at the time. He started with the classic magic sets and eventually stumbled upon a mail-order magic shop in England—and the rest, as they say, is magic!
We can’t wait to share this amazing experience!
Andrew Galoway Memorial Dinner
11th May 2025

Members of Magic Circle Scotland gathered at the Chestnuts Hotel in Ayr for a profoundly touching occasion: the first Andrew Galloway Memorial Dinner. We were honored to welcome Wullie Bryce (Seated in the Below Picture), a lifelong friend of Andrew "Drew", as we came together to celebrate the extraordinary life of a beloved magician and gentleman.

This gathering transcended mere remembrance; it was a heartfelt tribute to the joy and wonder that Andrew (1940 - 2024) brought into our lives. Around the table, we shared stories and cherished memories, reflecting on the magic he inspired in each of us and the warmth he radiated.
Though our time with Andrew was all too brief, his impact is etched in our hearts. He taught us the significance of creativity, kindness, and the power of sharing magic with others. As we raised our glasses in his honor, we acknowledged that Andrew’s spirit will continue to live on through our stories and our enduring love for magic.
It is our sincere hope that these annual gatherings will keep his memory alive. Andrew will always hold a cherished place in our hearts and in the fabric of our magical community. We celebrated his remarkable life yesterday, remembering not just a magician, but a dear friend who will be profoundly missed.
The CCC Convention in Cannock
5th and 6th April 2025

When members of Magic Circle Scotland attend an event, they typically go as a group. This convention was no different. Although it was only the second year of the event, we hopped on the bus and headed down to show our support and enjoy what can only be described as an outstanding weekend of magic and camaraderie—one that will never be forgotten!
As an added bonus, one of our members gave a talk about some influential figures in magic who have shaped his own magical journey: Andrew Galloway and John Ramsey.
We’re already looking forward to the next one!
